"Chalkboard Love started in February of 2013 when I was asked to make a gift for a teacher.  I had the idea to make a Valentine hanger for her room or home but thought she might like to write little love notes for her daughters.  I asked my husband, Brian, to cut it out for me...and while he was at it, would he mind cutting one for our door as well?

 

After hosting Bible study at our home, my friends just started ordering off our door. The business grew from there and we started doing the Des Moines Farmer's Market in 2016 as well as other craft fairs and fine art festivals.   We've shipped all over the country and to Canada.  

 

I've been an artist all my life and have loved doing door hangers in a unique way by integrating the chalkboard into the design."
